The Initiative

The Brain Power Initiative, a cross-disciplinary effort led by leading researchers, institutions and industry partners, will help facilitate a revolution in how we think about early childhood development, education and lifelong learning.

The Brain Power Initiative comprises scientists, schools, teachers, parents, policy-makers and industry. Our goal is simple: to translate the lessons of the “lab” and what we know about how a child’s brain develops to the “real world.”

Research now shows that you can increase a child’s IQ, attention and memory. By preparing the brain itself for learning, the result is higher proficiency in math or language, social skills or the alphabet.

We believe this represents a revolution in childhood development.

We’re setting out to translate the findings of neuroscience into the creation of media, education and programs that directly influence how the brain develops. We have the potential to not just bridge learning gaps or increase literacy, but to alter the landscape of childhood development towards a day in which the capacity to learn is as critical as what is taught.

Meet the people who are making the Brain Power Initiative happen.
